This two-volume boxed set was published in 1958 by Thomas Yoseloff. Books, bound in blue cloth, appear unread. Previous owner's name written in ink at top of first free fly leaf of both volumes. This is NOT an ex-library copy. See photos.

This small volume (8 by 5.5 by .75 inch) tells in 199 pages the story of Arizona "from the earliest times known to the people of Europe to 1903. Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine, black lettering on front cover. Shelf wear to top and bottom of cover, corners slightly bumped, color bleached on bottom right corner. Notes in ink and pencil on free front endpage, no other markings in text.

Story and sketches. Heartwarming and historical story, written for ages 12 and up, of how a stray, gaunt, brown dog becomes attached to Field Artillery "D" Battery at Fort Bragg. Although just a "mutt", he howls like an Alaskan Husky and becomes their mascot. He is trained and accompanies them overseas to fight in the war. Named Chinook, he becomes a hero during WWII (1941-1945). It is beautifully Illustrated with the art work of the renown illustrator, Paul Brown. Handsome copy in very good condition. Pages are intact, and not marred by notes or highlighting. Spine is undamaged. Dust jacket has small pieces out of lower left corner of front cover and top of spine, but they do not mar cover images.

This history of the Timberwolf Division (the 104th Inventry Division) covers 195 consecutive days in front line combat -- from the canals of Holland to the banks of the Mulde. Color map endpapers of 1944-45 operations; photos and maps. Hardback in very good condition with minor shelf wear. Top and bottom of spine slightly rubbed and bent. There are small brown stains at the top of the first free fly leaf and last paste-down page.

This book, published in 1939, is a very readable copy of medical help for people with foot problems. Overall, the contents are in good condition. A few pages have been folded in the upper right corner. There are two slips of paper on the back flyleaf, one a sales form for "plunge pails" sold by a research company, the other is something cut from a newspaper or magazine with information on medical conditions. There is a hand written comment on the back flyleaf extolling the measures of foot care. Problems: THERE IS A VERY STRONG MUSTY ODOR. The dust jacket has folds and tears, and also shows foxing on the back cover

Title on rebound spine is "Dyer on Ancient Names." Original spine title is "Ancient Modes of Bestowing Names". Spine is firm.
Rebinding covers a purchase note on inside front cover which appears to say: "Purchased at Anderson Galleries, New York, May, 1923."
Original owner's name written in ink on frontespiece: ("A. Beatrice Hickson"). Some discoloration on exterior front and back covers. One little bit of very old writing on page 20. Text is in fine condition.
