Title on rebound spine is "Dyer on Ancient Names." Original spine title is "Ancient Modes of Bestowing Names". Spine is firm.
Rebinding covers a purchase note on inside front cover which appears to say: "Purchased at Anderson Galleries, New York, May, 1923."
Original owner's name written in ink on frontespiece: ("A. Beatrice Hickson"). Some discoloration on exterior front and back covers. One little bit of very old writing on page 20. Text is in fine condition.
