The Paragraph ends logically, it seems to be the correct end of the book. End papers are present. Brown cloth boards, embossed on front and back covers. Title in gold leaf on the spine. Much wear. Much read, much loved copy. Some newspaper clippings enclosed. Wear to top and bottom of spine and to the corners. Brown stains on several pages. Our book number 19095.

5.5" x 8.5". 529 pages. The endpapers are covered in the front cover, by part of the dust jacket which has been glued in over the beautiful map of the Mythical country and the surrounding states. There is a book plate declaring the previous owner and the name of the Library from which it was withdrawn. The back endpapers are not as bad, there is residue of a check-out sheet on the left, but just taped along the top, and on the inside of the back cover is a library pocket. On the up-side, this is a first edition, clean, tight pages. Minor shelf wear to the cover (besides the library sticker). The spine is slightly relaxed, but on the whole, a very nice copy. This is the book from which Steven King stole the Great Bear in his Gunslinger series. If you have read those stories, this is a must-read for you. Richard Adams, The Author of Shardik, also wrote Watership Down. Our book number 708.

The Semi-Annual Statement of the Neosho Building and Loan, a type of financial institution glorified in IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE. Brochure states the outstanding Capital, Loans, Accounts, Assets and Liabilities, Officers and Directors. If every financial business were this transparent we would not be in the state we are in today (2012). Offered for the purity and sentimental value as a token of a better time. Aside from the crucial identifying page being missing, all the essays, the photos, and the QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION section in the back of the book are all clean and intact.
