Cassell, Melbourne, 1945. First Edition. Hardcover. Poor/Good. 104pp., forward by author and list of illustrations. Black and white photographic frontispiece "ready to give them a warm reception. The multiple .5-in. gun". There are black and white photographs illustrating the text. Bone coloured boards with black decoration and bone coloured writing on the front panel and black on the spine. The corners of the book are scuffed and there is staining to the bottom edges, the back panel has been damp at one stage and shows the result of same. The remains of water damage can be seen on the endpapers and between pages 72 and 73 the sewing of the book is visible. Photographic dustwrapper, showing "a gun grew in action" with white writing in front panel and spine.
