Internally, 4 pp, 2 illustrations (1 coloured & 1 B&W-calligraphic script) by David Jones, 2 blank leaves, not dated but 1954, first UK edition (the US one appeared in 1956 - A66b), red endpapers (tiny bit of red has bled over onto top edge, pencil name to epd (Anne Appleby). Internally, [5], 6-110 pp, [1] printers device (also stating " Finished printing the 8th day of January, 1866".), gilt tooling to turn-ins, red marbled endpapers, a.e.g., author inscription to title "Lydia Mary Serle with her Fathers best love." (1 spelling correction in contemporary hand). (183*116 mm). Serle was an English dramatist and actor. He was also a journalist with the Weekly Dispatch.
