This memoir by the beloved late antiquarian bookseller in St. Catherines, Ontario, of her childhood during WWII in Germany and then China, is quite honestly one of the best memoirs I have ever read. I would upon occasion, while visiting family in Ontario, stop at Hannelore's bookshop and talk a bit with her about the book trade while finding a few treasures in her shop for stock. This is a bookseller's memoir as not only Ms. Headley was a fine bookseller, but her father did, also - and that is a big part of this story of survival. Fine, as new. You will not regret buying and reading this book.

McCracken was instrumental in the development of the Buffalo Bill Museum in Cody. What is neat about this association copy is that McCracken printed his name nicely on the front paste down and dated it 1919 when he was 25 years old. Facing that on the ffep is his handwritten name and address in Anaconda, Montana. The front hinge of this copy is broken and desires repair. The cloth is lightly soiled.
