This second state of the first edition - I said it was confusing! - was rushed out with four changes, but with the same publishing number line. It differs by having a different ISBN number and the words 'NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER' across the top of the jacket, and an Oprah's Book Club seal attached at the bottom right hand corner. The third difference is with the text block. This is the issue with a trimmed leading edge. So, the true first is the one issued in June, with an untrimmed leading edge and no additional lines on the jacket. However, this is therefore a more affordable 'first' than the true first.
