A beautiful copy of Washington's follow-up to his classic "Up From Slavery.

Illustrated throughout with photographs, all of which have been verified as being present. The copyright page shows single publication date of May, 1904. This book came from the collection of Miss Sallie E. Robinson, who was a very prominent African-American from the Philadelphia area, and her signature appears on the rear pastedown. No other handwriting noted, no bookplates, no library markings etc.
