Rebound by library in dark green buckram with gilt titles on spine, xviii, 335, [1] pp. Usual library markings including "Withdrawn" stamps. Overcast sewing has caused sharp creases at the gutter of half-title & title, some foxing to last two leaves, otherwise fine as rebound. This is one of 400 copies that were printed of the first publication of the Surtees Society, founded in 1834 in memory of Robert Surtees. It is also the first publication of a Latin manuscript by a 12th century monk of Durham relating legends of St. Cuthbert that were then current. Shipping weight 2 lbs.. First Edition. . G/No dj. 22½ X 14 cm.
