Illustrated by William Hole with eighty colour plates. Collated complete. This work visually tells the story of Jesus of Nazareth through the beautiful colour illustrations by Scottish Victorian painter William Hole. Hole is best known for his historical and biblical scenes. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally smart with bumping and rubbing to the extremities and marks to the rear including small tidemarks. Lacking front free endpaper with age toning to the endpapers and hinges tender. Internally firmly bound with clean and generally bright pages with offsetting to the title page. Very Good Indeed
