Seattle: John Davis & Company, 1915. Oblong 12mo, 5.5x8," [48]pp, photos (2 in color) and captions, plus general facts of the city. Illustrated tan wrappers with images of a totem pole and bow (in place of string tie). Very good with light wear to edges. Clean internally save a few light markings in pencil at rear where someone has corrected estimated census data to reflect the actual totals. Wonderful Seattle view book, printed on fine quality white paper with pale green borders of landscape framing each page. Text on Totem Pole, Seattle Facts and promotional note for Real Estate, Insurance and mortgages from John Davis & Company, Managers of Properties and Estates, 1888-1915. Contains 40 images with printed legends, including 2 in color from the Seattle Hunt Club. The other images include the downtown areas, notable Seattle buildings, House Boat Life on Lake Washington; the Fishing Fleet at Fisherman's Dock; Canal Locks, Lumber Mills, Dairy Cattle, Residential Street, Home of H.C. Henry; Surf Bathing in Puget Sound; an Automobile being pulled over by a motorcycle cop, Golf Club, Fly-fishing Scene, Tall Timbers, Vitrified Brick Highway (with 2 cars), Motor Boating on Lake Washington, Sailing on Puget Sound, Motoring to Mount Rainier; Mirror Lake; Climbing Mt. Rainier (several climbers in snow & ice); Growing Potatoes in Alaska; a steam ship with glaciers in Glacial Bay, Alaska; an Indian in a canoe in Puget Sound; and more.
