Wow! Eerie, beautiful and sexy, I could not put this book down! If you are new to this series, these books take place in Seattle in a world where Earthside coexists with Otherworld, the place of the fae. There are three half-human, half-fae D'Artigo sisters (Camille the witch, Delilah the werecat and Menolly the vampire) who are trying to stop a demon named Shadow Wing from destroying both worlds. One of my favorite aspects about the Otherworld novels is the exchange of the point of view from sister to sister. Each book will focus on one sister and then rotate to the next in the following book. Although this series has been categorized as Paranormal Romance, it is far from harlequin. I would consider the Otherworld novels as mostly urban fantasy with a little bit of mystery and a few pages of hotness. I would not recommend diving into this book first. There is such a rich backstory to the series, so I would suggest starting with Witchling.Haunted Moon is told from the point of view of Camille, the older D'Artigo sister who is a witch and a priestess of the moon. As with most of Camille's books, expect an increase in yummy scenes. I enjoyed learning snippets of backstory from several of the characters, especially from Morio.Yasmine is a skilled story weaver who provides a large cast of characters, exotic locations and mythical creatures in a dark but beautiful world. Her story pacing was excellent as I wasn't overwhelmed nor was I ever bored. Her characters have distinct personalities, but she has a talent for making them slowly evolve over the course of the series. And once again, a thumbs-up to Tony Mauro for the ethereal cover art. Even my husband did a double take and pointed out that he liked it! I am now impatient for the next Otherworld novel Autumn Whispers (Delilah's fifth book) to be released in September 2013!

Love this series so much that I had to buy another reading copy because the spine was so worn out! Highly recommended for fans of witches, were cats, vampires, and Otherworldly beings. These books feature strong female leads who kick butt and are forced to work out their unique insecurities together in order to save those they love. There is adult content in this book, but it is only a tasteful side note that complements the story without dominating the plot.As with the first book of any series, there is a lot of time spent on establishing the characters, but it is very much worth the effort because as the books continue, it is difficult not to become personally-invested in the characters. What keeps this series fresh is the rotation of the point-of-view between the three sisters. Each book is purely told through the eyes of one sister, then the next book features the next sister. This rotation keeps things interesting and shows character growth as the series continues.Smart, sexy and imaginative, these books are a fantastical way to momentarily escape reality while having a little fun.
