London: Methuen, 1933. First edition. . Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. A supernatural novel of malevolent ghostly influences. Bright copy of the first edition, in original restored dust jacket. Jacket had been taped at top and bottom edges, the marks of which show on the verso and the flaps at top. Thumbnail chip to spine head was filled, plus other small edge chips, and flaw, mostly left by tape, were also touched up. Reduced price sticker pasted mid spine, but original price of 7/6 remains on front flap of jacket. Former tape from jacket has also left some minor traces to top edge of otherwise fine book.
