Berkeley: Parnassus Press, 1968. First US Edition/First Printing. Hardcover. Fair/N/A. Scarce First Edition/First Printing with faint vertical smudge on the title page. A reinforced ex-library copy that was rebound for the library market with stamps to ffep, top & bottom page ends and title page, a portion of original jacket flap stuck to front pastedown, pocket residue/scar to rear pastedown and some marks/residue of due slip to rfep. Cloth is pictorial and ochre in color. Bindery sticker and small white strip to front pastedown with small smudge mark to bottom of spine - call number removal? Marks/smudges to a few pages, otherwise clean. Top corners and bottom rear bumped/dinged. In brand new high quality facsimile jacket.
Synopsis
A Wizard of Earthsea, first published in 1968, is the first of a series of books written by Ursula K. Le Guin and set in the fantasy world archipelago of Earthsea depicting the adventures of a budding young wizard named Ged. The tale of Ged's growth and development as he travels across Earthsea continues in The Tombs of Atuan and The Farthest Shore and is supplemented in Tehanu and The Other Wind.
