About This Item
London: W. Collins Sons & Co. Ltd.. Inscribed by the author as follows; " Xmas 1927/To Aunt Lilla with the author's love - /Phyllis". No doubt it was Aunt Lilla who lovingly clipped out the book review and the author's photograph from the newspaper and pasted them to the front pastedown and front free endpaper (beneath the dedication) respectively. This book is rare in itself and rarer still with such a unique inscription. The book has yet to experience the restorer's art. It has blue covers with red lettering and border on the front, red lettering on the spine. The front external joint is cracking at the bottom but is still sound; the spine has torn at the top joints by 3cms and 2cms but is sound and all there, and there are some white marks on the covers. Minor rubbing at the corners. Now protected by a removeable jacket. Weysprings Books is a Member of: the IOBA and PBFA, and subscribes to the Associations' Codes of Ethics. . Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1927.
