Lightly tipped in to the front free endpaper is a letter with a Devon, UK address from the author, dated 11-5-32 to a Miss Rose trying to arrange a meeting in Devon. Apparantly a letter from Miss Rose had gone to her previous address in Gayfere Street, London. Although normally residing in Canada, clearly the author was living in the UK at this time. (the present owner acquired the book in Devon). Bookplate of N. V. Davey on the front pastedown. The dust jacket is protected, has minor wear and is not price clipped. . Fine. Hardcover.
