Blue cloth over boards, title stamped in gilt onto spine, marbled edges, 12mo (7-1/2 inches [19.1 cm] tall), pp. 79, and 102, both illustrated with multiple fold-out diagrams, tables, index. Minor misfolds to a few fold-outs, else unmarked. An uncommon title in The Science of Railways series, containing a very detailed analysis of these two types of air brakes.
