Among the highlights noted were the following: Bartholomaeus Anglicus, Livre de la Propriété des Choses, Paris, c1400, with 61 miniatures by Jean de Nizières; Servius, commentaries on Virgil, written for Gian-Galeazzo Sforza, Milan, c.1478, illuminated by the Hippolyta Master and Ambrogio da Marliano; Thomas Aquinas, written for King Ferdinand of Aragon, Naples, 1480, illuminated by Matteo Felice; the dedication manuscript of Arienti's tournament book of Giovanni Bentivoglio, in the author's autograph, in its original gilt binding, Bologna, 1471; manuscripts in Latin, French, Greek, Coptic, Hebrew, Spanish, Languedoc and Middle English; four illuminated Psalters, c.1200-c.1460; thirteen Books of Hours, including the Saxby Hours and Psalter, London, c.1440, signed by the illuminator Banaster, a remarkable semi-grisaille Book of Hours, Rouen, c. 1470, illuminated by the Master of the Geneva Latini, and the Hours of Théodore Du Terrail, including two fragments in Beneventan minuscule, a miniature from a giant Bible, north-eastern France, c. 1170, two miniatures from a Greek Gospel Book, Constantinople, c.1400, and single miniatures by or attributable to Neri da Rimini, and Antonio da Bologna, Giorgio d'Alemagna, and signed miniatures by Ludovico de Gacis and Alfonso de Hispana; and documents,including records of the wine trade in the Moselle, 1423-93, and an illuminated Letter of Confraternity, 1483.
