This work starts with a biographical account of Wellington's life, before going into a detailed description of the Battle of Waterloo and its other notable figures. Major Arthur Griffiths (1838-1908) was a British military officer, prison administrator, and writer. He wrote extensively about nineteenth century military conflicts, and was a military correspondent for 'The Times'. With an introduction by Field-Marshal Viscount Wolseley, commander-in-chief of the British Army.Collated, complete. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. A bit of wear to the extremities, spine, as well as to the bands of joints. A few marks to rear board. Prize bookplate to front pastedown, with has led to offsetting on front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound, with binding loosening towards the middle. Pages are very bright and clean throughout.
