Text is illustrated either by colour reproductions of paintings, black and white reproductions, line illustrations and black and white photography. Green boards with gilt writing on spine. Illustrated dustwrapper, 'Gold Diggers Recieving a Letter from Home-- circa 1860, with yellow background with black writing on the front panel and spine. There is an associated plastic cover which has 'Victoria 150, an anniversary history' with blue writing on front panel. This book is part of a 3 book series to celebrate Victoria 150th anniversary. In this book the author deals with the migration of people to Victoria, from the aboriginals through to the more than 2 million migrants who had made Victoria their permanent home.
