New York:: Doubleday & Co.,, 1950.. First edition.. Hardcover.. Publishers orange cloth over boards minor shelf wear still about near fine contents clean and crisp. Illustrated dust jacket minor chipping at front bottom corner a bit of minor damp stain at top of spine area. Inside flaps slight clipped [not the price] at corners. Overall presents excellent in new protective mylar. At time of description our copy is in much better condition than the very few others with jackets [ripped and torn] available on the market. Scarce work of short horror stories on madness. Rarely seen Dali works of macabre. With color frontispiece and six b&w full page plates by Dali. Dust jacket cover as well [repeated with frontispiece].
