About This Item
An interesting memento of the pro-Soviet sympathies in the Czech interwar Republic, the present volume contains five short satirical plays, by Grigorii Gradov, Aleksandr Chikardov, Pavel Ial'tsev, and Aleksei Iroshnikov (based on Chekhov). With a short preface by the editor. The rights to the translations were apparently held by a Czech amateur workers' theater in Prague KarlÃn, and another publisher is cited as the Svaz dÄlnických divadelnÃch ochotnÃků Äeskoslovenských (Union of Czechoslovak Amateur Worker's Theatres).
Scarce; as of January 2024, KVK and OCLC only show the copy at the Czech National Library.
