1746. Frontispiece + 30 numbered etchings; attached to the blank laid-paper sheets of A4.to sized book (290 x 205 mm), recto only. Bound in grained black morocco by A. Devauchelle, lettered in gilt on a red morocco label on the front cover, with a gilt stamped vase on the spine and marbled pastedowns. Etchings printed on laid paper; all signed 'J. Saly Inv. et Sculp.'; with an additional frontispiece lettered with a Latin dedication from Saly to J-F de Troy. 29.3 x 21.6cms. Complete set of the influential series of neo-classical vase designs by the French Sculptor Jacques François Saly (1717-1776), who counted among his patrons Louis XV, Madame de Pompadour and Frederick I of Denmark.
