Description: Heavy paper folder with one flap forming a pocket at the rear; the pocket holds 45 black and white loose leaf, single sided photo plates showing important aircraft in the history of flight. The interior of the folder is printed with data on each of the 45 aircraft. From the front cover: ''The birth of aviation was thrust on an unbelieving and skeptical world. A skepticism that was to precede each stage in the demanding conquest of space.'' The plates begin with the Wright Flyer and end with the development of Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star.
