You must go on, I can't go on, I'll go on First edition in English, limited issue, number 64 of 100 specially bound copies; a further 30 limited copies were issued signed, while the trade issue was bound in full grey cloth with dust jacket. Following the Second World War, Beckett "completed the novel trilogy Molloy (1951), Malone meurt (Malone Dies) (1951), and L'innommable (The Unnamable) (1953), on which, with his play En attendant Godot (Waiting for Godot), so much of his reputation as an innovator and a master stylist in French and English rests" (ODNB). Octavo. Original brown cloth-backed grey paper sides, spine and front cover lettered in gilt, black and pink circle device on front cover. Light fading to spine and soiling on front cover, contents mildly toned but clean. A very good copy. Federman & Fletcher 377.01.
