The text is illustrated with numerous black and white photographs taken by Joe Van Wormer bright green coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Photographic dustwrapper with yellow, black and white coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip.  In this book the author goes through how to understand a young horse, how to train same, and, the various gaits of the horse and the correct saddle position etc.  Softening of the backstrip edges, with rubbing of the other book edges and a little bumping of the book corners. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. Offset tanning and marking to the end pages. A previous owner has covered the dustwrapper in plastic and attached the plastic with tape – which has left the inevitable staining to the book panels and end pages. Previous owners name and details sticker to the top right-hand corner of the free front end page. As already noted the previous owner has covered the dustwrapper in plastic and there is tape residue to the verso – which has started to bleed to the front of the dustwrapper. A little chipping of the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels. There is a 1 inch tear to the lower left-hand corner of the backstrip.
