Description:
New York: Grove Press, Inc, 1958. Very Good+ condition in a Good only dust jacket (see photos). Scarce clothbound edition, especially so in jacket. Clean, square, and tight. Sharp corners. The jacket has several tiny chips, two creases, and four tears, of which two are nearly 4 inches long. However the jacket is still quite attractive and presents well in its Brodart clear-plastic sleeve (removed for photos). NOT price clipped ($3.50). NO owner's name or bookplate. Pages are clean and crisp. The third book in the trilogy. Translated from the French by the author. This is the uncommon clothbound edition [it was also issued in wraps and in 3 specially bound limited editions]. This copy is in the publisher's full gray cloth, lettered in shiny gold on the spine and front cover. Federman/Fletcher 377 (cloth bound edition) in SAMUEL BECKETT, HIS WORKS. See also pages 62-63 of Lake's NO SYMBOLS WHERE NONE INTENDED, the catalogue of the extensive Samuel Becket collection at the…

Blue cloth with gilt stamped titles to the spine, top edge grey, other edges uncut. 82 (1)pp, including photographic frontispiece showing signed poem by Douglas. Signed, inscribed and dated by the author, in green ink to the front free endpaper. With original blue dust jacket priced at 7/6 net. A very good book that has mainly been well protected by the dust jacket. There is a little toning to the head and foot of the spine aligning to where there is loss to the dust jacket and a little dust staining to the top and bottom edges but otherwise the boards are clean and the titles are bright. There is a little pushing to the top corners. Internally the book is generally very clean with only a hint of spotting to the endpapers and light toning to the uncut edges. New York, Grove Press, 2022, trade paperback, 272 pp, Advance Uncorrected Proof (ARC), New. Straight, tight and clean with no wear or markings in bright, pictorial card covers, no dustjacket as issued. The pieces in this collection, written between 1956 and 1961 and including short fiction, a radio play, and a stunning early novel, offer startling insights into Cohens imagination and creative process. Description:
New York: Random House, 1959. Book. Illus. by Sam March (dust jacket design). Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition.. Small octavo. Humes's second novel, following 'The Underground City,' both of which led to his being considered by Esquire magazine as having the same promise as two obscure guys named Updike and Styron (whoever they are). Anyway, he met a guy named Leary who introduced him to a little substance known as LSD, and after seriously indulging his fondness for the hallucinogen he became a trifle paranoid and a bit delusional, which pretty much ended his writing career. Humes was co-founder (with Peter Matthiessen and George Plimpton) of The Paris Review. He died of prostate cancer in 1992. Black cloth w/gilt lettering, 184 pages. Mildly cocked, light general wear, in price-clipped dust jacket w/light rubbing, light edgewear, creases to fore-edges of both flaps..
