Glossy illustrated paper over boards have some bubbling and wrinkling to the thin plastic coating over the paper on the covers. Light bumping and scuffing to edges and corners of covers as well. along edges. Binding tight. Decorated endpapers have a 6"X 1" scrape along the top edge where the color was torn off when a sticker was removed. Pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. Lovely full color illustrations by Volodimir Golozubov. NOT Ex-library. NO remainder marks. [From introduction] This book presents a collection of children's Ukrainian folk rhymes and the folk tale Mrs. Fox and Mr. Crane which were put out in separate editions illustrated by Volodimir Golozubov. Included herein are Two Chanticleers which won a "Golden Apple" prize at the Bratislava Biennale International exhibition of children's book illustrations in 1971. At the international competition "Art of Book" in Leipzig in 1977 VESELKA Publishers won a bronze medal for this book. The artist, Vladimir VasilievichGolozubov (1925-2000), was a graphic artist from Kiev.From 1952-58, Golozubov studied at the Kiev Art academy under Erzhikovskii and Sharonov. He worked mainly as an illustrator of children's books for Kiev publishers.
