The composer's own piano-vocal reduction of these remarkable 1928 chorus-orchestra settings of three traditional Russian folk songs (scored for altos and basses only). CONTENTS: [I] Across the river, swift river; [II] Ah you, Vanka; [III] You, my fairness, my rosy cheeks. 28 pages. CONDITION: A very fragile age-tanned copy with substantial edge-wear, particularly on the first and last pages, where there is considerable chipping and (unfortunately haphazard) tape-repair at the spine. The remainder (the score pages themselves), though all pages are loose now, fares much better, with all score information present and readily legible. NOTE: Because of its fragility (not practical for practice, rehearsal, or performance), I've included a fresh Fine-condition photocopy of the score along with the original - both now stored in a clear, protective polypropylene bag with archival backing board.
