About This Item
Macmillan and Co. Limited. London. 1935. TWO VOLUMES. Early reprints. Both are third impression reprints of the original 1930 edition. Previous owners name written neatly on the front free endpapers. A fine, bright pair, the pages crisp and clean. Original publishers blue cloth with gilt lettering and ruling to spines. The boards and spines are beautifully bright and clean having been protected by the publishers original brown paper, black printed dustwrappers. The wrappers are in near fine condition without any significant loss to edges but one crease to the front panel of volume two and a tiny hole (about 0.2 x 0.1 inch) to the spine of volume one, not affecting the lettering. Minor uniform darkening to both wrapper spines but overall a very near fine early set of this important work.
