Singed and numbered copy, one of the fifty, of Capek's science fiction novel, with several full page illustrations by his brother, Josef.
Tovérna na absolutno (The Absolute at Large) is Capek's science fiction novel about the changes of the society as the result of a reactor that produces free energy.
Karel Čapek (1890-1938) was a Czech novelist best known for his science fiction novels, and mostly for his play "R.U.R." that introduced the word "robot".
Illustrated by Karel's brother Josef (1887-1945) who was a graphic artist, and painter, also a writer and poet. He is credited as the coiner of the word "robot", for Karel's book "R.U.R.".
