New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1967. Hardcover. Good/fair. Octavo. Hardcover with pictorial dust jacket. x, 374 pages. Illustrated section. Some light shelf wear to the cloth binding. Dust jacket is edge worn with several chips on the spine and edges. Toning to the front end papers. Light stain on the front past down. Some toning to the copyright and dedication page from an article about Wolfe that was laid in between. A nice gift inscription written on the right front flyleaf - "Xmas, 1972 To my mother who has often told me of Asheville in 1930's and her experiences with Thomas Wolfe's sister. I hope this book brings back pleasant memories. Thomas L. Burnett Jr.
