Speckled calf, gilt-stamped lettering and ornament in spine compartments (5 raised bands); complete set of 4 volumes, 8vo; pp. [4], lxxiii, [3], 556, plus 4 folding plates; [4], 557, plus 4 folding plates; 518, plus 9 folding plates; 649, plus 8 folding plates. A lovely set, all volumes just very lightly scuffed along joints and edges of boards, otherwise fine, with clean, crisp textblocks. Volume III has two tiny wormholes on front joint. This particular edition is difficult to find in the marketplace.
