Presents history of San Antonio beginning in 1854 from his personal experience, and a list of prominent citizens from 1845-1857. Includes description of the four frontier states of Mexico adjoining Texas and three others south of them. Author tells of the advance of business and commerce between Mexico and Texas which he experienced through the second half of the nineteenth century. Brown cloth-covered boards with gilt titles. Worn Good/No Jacket. Covers are silverfish lightened and spotted, but without damage to the underlying cloth. Binding and hinges firm. Owner name penciled on half-title page, dated March 17, 1910.
