Good. b&w photographs 17 small (10 x 7.5 cm and smaller) original b&w photographs taken in and around Tennant Creek, Norther Territory, in the 1930's - most of the pictures are annotated to reverse side, giving details of locations, for example ""The Phillips 25 minutes from T.C. a lovely swimming hole, we swim there in the hot weather when we get a chance""; 2 pictures of 'The Marbles' (The Devil's Marbles), one with note ""a better photo of the marbles. I would love you to see it, it is really good for the eyes""; notes to other photos include ""a football match at T.C."", ""a camel team just leaving"", ""This is one of the Races at Rankin 400 miles from Tennant Creek"" (photo shows three horses and jockeys); a very small photograph (7 x 5cm) shows three Indigenous Australians, with note to rear ""These are the Blacks...Tennants just in front of camp""; another photo has the note ""The Euro Battery in Action"", which could refer to the Government Stamp Battery which was used by prospectors to crush their ore (gold was discovered in Tennant Creek in the 1930's, after which it became the site of the last great gold rush in Australia); condition of photos is Good at best, with all photos curled aroung edges, and with some creases.
