About This Item

Huron, OH: Bottom Dog Press, 1995. Softcover. Near Fine/No Jacket. 6"x9". 128 pages. Front cover photo by Lois Jean Eanes. Boy in photo is Walter Ray Eanes. Signed "To: Corky Danny Fulks" Danny Fulks, a professor emeritus from Marshall University, grew up on a farm in southern Ohio. His stories have appeared in numerous publications including The MacGriffin, Goldenseal and Now and Then. This is his first collection of stories, Tales Along the Appalachian Plateau, and has been followed by Tragedy on Greasy Ridge. Includes some black and white photo reproductions. [From back cover] Fulks selects and uses details that subtly recreate not just the events but the mood of a past time and place. Fulks makes rural, working-class folk who lived in southern Ohio in the early forties live again.
