Book looks and feels as unread, no spine creases, pages seem unopened. Boards are red, with lovely deeply embossed lettering in black and a full colour vignette illustration on front cover with a blind embossed border. Book spine is straight, square, solid, no sunning, no chipping, tiny horizontal crease at very top, very tiny edge wear on bottom and top corner points only. Dust jacket is white, lettering black, full colour pictorial illustration on front matching vignette on board. Dust jacket is price clipped, has a few tiny creases at top of spine, has a chip at top of back flap fold, has a 3/16 inch rip in bottom of dj front edge, has a 1/4 inch rip in top of dj front flap fold, white dj is clean, something got splashed near the book and the back and spine of dust jacket has some light brown stain in several long thin splash lines. Book boards and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, no bent corners, no spine creases, no sunning, no stains, no edge wear. Page top edges don’t look sunned, rest clean, bright, top edges have 3 small very faint light brown marks. Inner end papers are white with 4 different lovely colour illustrations, all clean and white like new. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, flat. Page 62-63 have, at their top edge, a tiny bit where a vertical piece of the paper surface has been removed when those two pages had stuck together, on page 62 this piece is 3/16 inch W at the top going down to nothing in a triangular shape 3/4 inches H, on page 63 this piece is 3/16 inch W at the top going down to nothing in a triangular shape 3/4 inches H. On page 64, a colour plate, there are two dots at the top edge where the paper stuck together, one is 1/4 inch W x 3/16 inch H the other is 1/8 W x 3/16 H. On page 65, a text only page, there are two dots at the top edge where the paper stuck together, one is 3/32 inch W x 3/16 H and the other is 3/16 inch H x 3/16 W. Book 16 marked on dust jacket spine, number 595-559 marked dust jacket back flap, number 888-1060 marked in book on last page. 18 full colour plates with wonderful illustrations.
