New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1953. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. SIGNED First Printing of FIRST EDITION. The book is in nice shape with clean covers, no rubbing, tight binding, other than author inscription and signature no owner marks or writing on pages, no foxing. The dust jacket has minor edge wear, small tears at spine ends. The book has 300 pages. This book is inscribed and signed by Mervyn Leroy to Eric Johnston. Johnston was the first president (and remained president for decades) of the Motion Picture Association of America. Also, Johnston was appointed by Truman as the head of the Economic Stabilization Agency. He was also head of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, served on several commissions under President Franklin D. Roosevelt, was a special presidential representative under Eisenhower, met with Stalin and Khrushchev. PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL BOOK BEING OFFERED.
