[1-6,6a-12]). 2) Ophiologie: xliv, 76 pp. 42 plates, single and double paged, [snakes all the way down]. 270x209mm. 4to. Hardcover. Quarter-calf and marbled boards, spine lettered in gilt. Book Condition: spine split at tail end of upper cover, and at head of spine to lower cover, covers show wear, corners pushed and worn with boards showing through. Binding very solid. Pages unmarked and unmarred. Plates? well, the plates are clean, unmarred, free of any foxing, stains or the like, they are fantastic printings, and glorious in all their raucus animal glory, really fabulous.
