An odd-shaped piece cut out of front free endpaper, hinges cracked, spine headers heavily rubbed, light general wear: VG/no dj. 12mo. Mason #310: 1st American edition, later impression(?) with top edges gilt instead of yellow and decorated endpapers. Binding decoration is sunflowers printed in black rather than cherub imbibing seen on some copies. Mason does not establish priority.

Green cover over boards with gilt and white lettering and design on the front and the spine. Blind stamped logo on the spine. Top page tinted, fore edge and bottom edges deckled. Decorated inside covers front and back. Shelf wear to the edges and to the head and toe are minor with light fade to the lower right corners of the first few pages. Dust Jacket, No tears, bent flaps, nor is it price clipped. Very small chips to the toe and fore edges bottom only. Now in a clear cover.
