New York and London: G.P. Putnam's Sons / The Knickerbocker Press / The Panama-Pacific International Exposition Company, 1921. Book. Near Fine. Hardcover. First Edition.. 5 Volume Set, 4to. Very Scarce. Includes original wooden shipping box with "P.P.I.E. -- SF" stamped on the front panel of the box. The front panel of the box was broken into three parts, and has since been glued back together using wood glue. All five volumes include their original plain tan paper DJs with round title holes along spines. Publisher's burnt orange cloth boards with gilt lettering along spines and front covers, gilt stamped sculpture of naked man with exposition in background on front covers. Includes 600 illustrations, with 61 plates in color. Minor shelfwear: a few small tears along edges of paper DJs, some very light foxing. All volumes are tightly bound, no marks. Set is in Near Fine condition..

Russian Hill Bookstore, established in 1974, is one of the last family-owned used and new bookstores in San Francisco. We began as Sunset Bookstore in 1974, a small used bookshop servicing the Sunset District west of 19th Avenue, and have been in continual operation for the past 43 years. Over the years Sunset Bookstore has since closed and merged with Russian Hill Bookstore, which has grown to become also the best note card shop in the city, and a favorite place for toys and games for children of all ages.
