About This Item
Innsbruck: Wagner'sche Univ-Buckdruckerei, 1928. First edition. Hardcover. Very good copy; staples of booklet rusted. 8vo. Boards. Ribbon marker. Illustrated. Text in German, English and French. Includes a stapled booklet with a list of hotels and a postcard from Kärnten. This is an interesting example of what was being discussed in Austria between the wars. And the case is presented here for the right-wing view: "Austria's cultural union with Germany is beyond dispute and already exists. A political union between the two countries is for Austria a vital necessity". Ten years later that political union was achieved, following the ferocious insistence by the Austrian who was then the German Führer, Adolf Hitler. It was a union that was to bring dishonor and devastation to Austria.
