Decorated endpapers. Description: Jacket portrait by Larry Shirkey. Includes six maps drawn by George Arnold from originals by the author. The endpapers feature Lucien Bernhard's ''Flying Torchbearer'' (this torchbearer also blind stamped on the front cover). This was originally published in 1963 as a section of Volume II of The Civil War: A Narrative.
