About This Item

From the Preface: "This book is the result of an interest in quilts, quilters and quilting that started in 1962 when I made three small quilts for the child I was expecting.

In 1982, another quilter...asked if I would participate in a project similar to the ...Kentucky Quilt Project. The project evolved into this book.

This book is not meant to be an academic study although it is as well researched as time and money have permitted. It contains the stories and experiences associated with the quilts shown. These are for the most part women's stories. Quilts and/or stories were chosen which had a tie to Illinois, that could be documented and that had received little or no recent publicity."

As New condition. No wear. Clean. Tight. Beautiful photographs.
