These notes on The Coffee House, which was founded in December 1915, consist mainly of a list of members with their addresses. Also included are a brief history and the rules of the club,"Rule Six being that there shall be No Rules". This copy belonged to William M. Clearwater who is included in the list of members. Laid in is a note addressed to him in New York City from the director of Herbert Johnson, Hatters, in London, advising him that "your Bowler is ready and I will put it up on the shelf awaiting your call when you are next in London."
