London; J B Nichols, 1876., 1876. Hardcover. FIRST EDITION. Octavo. Engraved armorial to title page, 11 plates of which 2 in colour, numerous armorial engravings in text. Book Condition: Very Good. Publisher's red cloth with gilt titles to upper board and blind borders to both boards; primrose yellow endpapers. Cover cloth lightly rubbed to edge with slight toning to spine. Ex-Masonic Lodge library with stamps to front pastedown, title page, plates etc. Presentation inscription from the Author with his signature, dated 1877, to ffep and title inscribed to spine in ink in the same hand. History of the Skinners Company from the twelfth century with biographies and armorials of Lord Mayors of the City, details of the Company's collection of plate and the history of its connections in Ireland. Rare.
