[England]: [Democratic Federation], 1883. Pamphlet. 11, [1]p., wraps. 7 x 4.75 in. Disbound with sewing holes visible, but otherwise a clean, crisp copy. Good. First statement of the position of the Democratic Federation (later Social Democratic Federation) founded by H.M. Hyndman in 1881, who was inspired after reading The Communist Manifesto. Typesigned by the Executive Committee, with Hyndman as chairman, H.H. Champion as secretary, and William Morris (the designer, author, and printer) as treasurer. A foundational document for British socialism.
