LIONEL HAMPTON (1908-2002). Hampton was an American jazz vibraphonist, pianist, percussionist, and bandleader. PS. 8” x 10”. N.d. N.p. A photograph signed “Best of Luck To Jimmy Lionel Hampton”. The image is a black-and-white photograph of a smiling Hampton wearing a tuxedo and looking directly towards the camera. The photograph is printed on cardstock and was a headshot of Hampton titled “LIONEL HAMPTON And His Orchestra” manufactured by Associated Booking Corp. Jimmy is James V. Murfin (1929-1987), who left a legacy of more than a dozen books, numerous articles, and other works writing for the National Park Service and various historical publications. The document is in excellent condition.
