Essay by Eduardo Cadava. Profusely illustrated with portrait and landscape photographs. American art photographer Sabine Mirlesse (born 1986) photographs were shot in Iceland and the work was inspired by the country's frequent volcanic activity, specifically the eruption in the village of Heimaey in 1973.
