About This Item
New York, New York : Doubleday & Company, 1988. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. A 269 page work with two tone green covers with sharp gilt lettering on the spine. The only slight impediment with the book is on the top of the pages there is the beginning of some very light foxing. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality cover. The rear dust flap of the dust jacket has a crease down its length near the edge. Bill Shoemaker entered the winner's circle nearly nine thousand times-he brought an incredible 50 percent of his mounts home first, second or third. This great of the greatest unfortunately passed away at age 89 on July 19th 2017 in Sebring, Florida. His legacy lives on in this fine autobiography. Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box!
